There are many beings who exist in the Nothingness. Some are born of the Nothingness itself, while others are born from the Stories of the Nothingness in some way. The following is a basic list and overview of these beings, with further details in their respective articles.

  • Celestirits = Essentially a species of gods, these are gigantic beings who have complete control over 3 aspects each. Doña Sapphira is an example of a Celestirit. The appearance of a Celestirit is akin to a jointed doll, and they are often gigantic humanoids.
  • Payaphim = Clown-like beings who are born from particularly intense dreams of the inhabitants of Stories. They feed on emotions, have shapeshifting abilities, and tend to be themed around a particular role or concept related to circuses and carnivals.
  • Silhoubim = Shadow-like beings who are born from a person dying in an intense way, and in the same way across multiple Storylines. They have shadow powers by default, but can also have other powers depending on the method of their death and their treasured hobbies before death
  • Miranim = Genius loci who are born at the end of a Story, from people who have intense creativity, though not enough to become a Dreamer. Essentially, a door appears in a Story or in the Nothingness, and going into that door leads to the Miran. Inside the Miran, they also tend to have an 'inner form' which can vary wildly.
  • Obserities = Demon-like beings that observe the happenings of a Story without interfering. By their nature they tend to stay out of the way most of the time, despite their frightening appearances.
  • Caretues = Angel-like beings who use masks to hide their inhuman nature. They take in characters and creatures from the Stories in order to care for them, but this care can sometimes be for sinister reasons.
  • Scrivenions = Origami object-headed beings that do research and record various topics from across many different Stories. However, their recordings tend to be rather embellished most of the time.
  • Eldriathans = Gigantic monsters made of tar, eyes, and bones. They travel around in the Nothingness, feeding by observing the happenings of a Story. Shanty and Beelzelina are examples of Eldriathans.
  • Faemons = Fae-like beings who try to trick characters into contracts that will always end badly for the signee.
  • Higher Deities = Powerful being who are on a completely different plane of existence than the Nothingness.
