Ryan
Ryan is one of Hali's partners, and is from the same Story as them.
Appearance
He is an anthro hybrid much like Hali, with Ryan specifically being Honduran white bat, luna moth, soft shelled turtle, and axolotl.
As a human he would be a native Latino man, half-Mexican and half-Honduran in particular.
Personality
He is a prince, though the title is more honorary than anything. He's rather happy-go-lucky and definitely prefers to look on the bright side of things. He also tends to be very lovey-dovey with his partners.
Abilities
Ryan has a Magifact umbrella called the Oracle Umbrella, which lets him use weather-themed magic. Ryan's skill with his umbrella has allowed him to earn a living as a weather mage.
He has some traits and abilities based on those animals. In particular, the small 'wings' on his shoulders can combine with his arms to form actual bat wings. However, Ryan doesn't use this very often, since it leaves him unable to hold anything until his arms go back to normal. Besides that, he's not a very good flyer anyways.
History
In the original version of their Story, Ryan was a "runaway royal" type of character who became friends with Hali, who in turn was originally the main character of the main Storyline. However, due to an Interloper changing the Story to suit his own tastes, Ryan and other people's places in the Story were tampered with.
Once Hali managed to stop the Interloper, Ryan also learned about the nature of Stories alongside her. While Hali went on to be a Janitor, Ryan decided to start working as a weather mage in their home Story. This is basically a magical weather reporter, with occasional freelance jobs that need his weather-themed magic, but Ryan genuinely enjoys his job. Him being able to do this at all is mostly thanks to his Magifact, the Oracle Umbrella.
Spanish is Ryan's first language, though he learned English at an earlier point than Hali, so his accent is not as noticeable.

Trivia
- In the original version of his and Hali's backstories, Ryan was actually outright Hali's love interest. This was changed to Ryan being a friend who then became one of Hali's partners after the upheaval of their home Story.
