Penny
Penny is a Payaph whose 'role' is a contortionist. She is Zach's girlfriend. She is also the younger sister of a powerful Payaph known as The Lord of Woe (a.k.a. Löwen). He is a member of the Payaphim Top 10, and Penny herself acts as an assistant to the group in general, almost as a secretary.
Appearance
She is roughly 9' 7" in height. Her height tends to be rather intimidating to most people.
As a human, she would probably be white, simply with the same height and hairstyle that she has now.
Personality
Penny is rather cheery, though sometimes she is a bit spacey or otherwise doesn't realize how serious some situations are. Not in the sense of being insensitive or not taking things seriously, but more that she doesn't worry too deeply when she can just do her best to make things better.
Abilities
Given her Payaph role as a contortionist, her abilities mostly focus on that. Stretching, bending, and otherwise contorting her own body in ways that humans cannot. She can also contort (or rather, distort) objects and other people to a degree. Though it doesn't leave any damage once reverted, doing this on people tends to leave them terrified.
History
Most Payaphim will simply "appear" fully formed in the Eternal Carnival, where intense energy from dreams in Stories across the Nothingness will gather and form into Payaphim. However, Penny and her brother Löwen (and other siblings) were a special case. Long ago, there was a Payaph known as the Queen of Strife, and she was the original Rank 1 Payaphim of the Payaphim Top 10. She was genuinely evil and was seeking ways to completely rule over the Eternal Carnival and other Payaphim.
Her husband was another Payaph named the Apathetic King, so named due to his personality and demeanor. The Queen of Strife managed to stitch him to herself, and their combined powers somehow made it so that she could manipulate dream energy directly, creating "children" to act as her servants and warriors. Think of it as similar to how male anglerfish will permanently latch onto female anglerfish so that the latter can produce fertile eggs. Penny and her brother were among the Queen of Strife's children.
However, she was not able to make any of them loyal to her, at least not permanently. Indeed, they eventually rebelled against her alongside other non-sibling Payaphim, overthrowing her from the Payaphim Top 10 and managing to permanently destroy her. Löwen became part of the Payaphim Top 10, while Penny became an assistant to the group in general at this point.
Penny met Zach when he was sent to the Eternal Carnival on a job from the Janitor Menagerie. They kept in touch after that, and eventually started dating later on.

- When it comes to apples, not only are they her favorite food, but she loves to eat them in any form. Pies, juice, or just eating them as plain fruit! Her absolute favorite dish is funnel cake with caramelized apples.
